Toilet Doors Real Installation in Singapore
Toilet Doors in Singapore: Choosing the Right Door System for Your HDB, BTO or Condo
A toilet door is easy to overlook, but it affects how much usable space your bathroom has, how it looks, and how easy it is to clean. Whether you are choosing a toilet door in Singapore for a new BTO, replacing an old HDB toilet door, or upgrading a condo or landed home bathroom, the best choice depends on your layout, your door opening and how you use the space.
The photos above are real installations in Singapore homes. Below is a short guide to the main systems, so you know what to look for before you enquire.
About Pd Door
Pd Door is a Singapore door specialist founded in 2004, and we introduced our Slide & Swing system to the market that year. We have our own factory and in-house installation team, and we design key components such as hinges and locks ourselves. Our team supports you from consultation and measurement through to installation and after-sales service.
Toilet Door Systems in Singpaore
| System | How it works | Often chosen for |
|---|---|---|
| Slide & Swing | Slides first, then swings, so it needs little swing clearance | Compact HDB, BTO and condo bathrooms |
| Swing Door | Conventional hinged opening, with concealed hinge options | Bathrooms with enough clearance |
| Sliding Door | Slides parallel to the wall, with hidden track, top track and pocket options | Layouts where door swing space is limited |
| Bifold Door | Folds as it opens | Tight toilets and awkward layouts |
| Slide to Fold | Three panels slide and fold to one side | Wider access in limited space |
| Double Swing | Two centre-opening panels | A symmetrical, balanced look |
| Louvre Door | Louvre panels allow airflow | Homes that want better ventilation |
| W Series (wide entrance) | Panels that open to both sides | Wider doorways |
| Y Series (one door, two entrances) | One door closes either entrance | Bathrooms with two adjacent entrances |
Whether a system fits your bathroom depends on your door opening, wall conditions and layout. We confirm this at the measurement stage.
Slide & Swing Toilet Doors: Three Generations
Our Slide & Swing toilet door is a top-hung system with no bottom track, which leaves a flat floor that is easier to clean. It comes in three generations to suit different budgets and styles:
- Slide & Swing 3.0: an economical option that keeps the core Slide & Swing function.
- Slide & Swing 4.0: a clean, seamless look with our concealed VG Invisible Hinge, and a popular choice for a BTO toilet door that suits modern interiors.
- Slide & Swing 5.0: a slim-frame, modern look with our Q Hinge.
Not sure which is right for you? See our comparison of the Slide & Swing generations.
Toilet Door with Glass, Composite and Louvre Options
If you want a lighter look, a toilet door with glass can give you more brightness while still giving you privacy. Popular finishes include frosted, sandblasted, reeded (fluted) and fabric glass. If you prefer a more solid look, we also offer aluminium composite and honeycomb panel options in a range of colours.
For ventilation, our louvre doors let you choose where the louvres sit on the door (lower, upper or full) and how wide the gaps are, so you can balance airflow and privacy.
How to Choose Toilet Doors in Singapore
- Measure your space. Check how much room is available for a door to swing or slide.
- Think about how you use the bathroom. A shared bathroom has different needs from a master bathroom.
- Decide on privacy and light. Solid panels, frosted glass and louvres each give a different balance.
- Consider the look. Match the frame and panel finish to your wet area and interiors.
- Talk to us before deciding. A site consultation helps confirm what will actually work in your bathroom.
FAQ: Toilet Doors in Singapore
What is the best toilet door for a small HDB or BTO bathroom?
Space-saving systems such as Slide & Swing, bifold and sliding doors are popular for compact bathrooms. The best option depends on your layout, so we recommend a site consultation.
Can I replace my existing HDB toilet door?
Yes, toilet door replacement is common. Whether the existing frame can be reused depends on its condition and the system you choose, so please check with our team.
What is the difference between Slide & Swing and a bifold door?
A Slide & Swing door slides first and then swings, while a bifold door folds as it opens. Both are used where space is limited, and they look quite different when open.
Can I see the doors before I decide?
Yes. You can try our systems in person at our showroom.
